About us : Our story

The passion project

Spiggy was founded in 2015 by designer Colin Wright, born from a passion for exceptional design and a desire to fill a gap in the local market for expertly crafted, sculptural architectural hardware. What began as a side project quickly evolved into a curated collection defined by quality, originality and design integrity. The early range featured products from Philip Watts Design, with the addition of emerging UK brand Buster + Punch in 2019.

In 2020, Spiggy opened its Brisbane showroom and expanded its collection, welcoming a carefully selected range of brands united by a shared focus on unique, exclusive and authentically designed products. During this time, Spiggy’s reputation grew rapidly, with its products specified in some of Australia’s most distinguished projects by leading architects and designers.

A major milestone followed in 2023 when Spiggy joined forces with Artedomus, Australia’s leading supplier of premium stone, tiles and architectural surfaces. This partnership represents a shared DNA: an obsession with materiality, an uncompromising standard for quality, and a commitment to sourcing the world’s most exceptional design elements. In 2025 Spiggy opened its Sydney showroom within the Artedomus space in Rosebery.

Today, the Spiggy collection spans a broad range of styles — from sleek and minimalist to intricate and highly decorative — enabling it to complement a wide variety of architectural aesthetics. Despite its relatively short history, Spiggy has introduced products that have achieved iconic status within the design community. We continue to source exclusive pieces from around the world, authentically designed by renowned international architects and designers, and crafted by the world’s finest manufacturers.
